The feeling of big match was know long before it started. The crowd was much bigger then other days, the official's places was all occupied - Górnik superiors were watching all match on his feet. The beginning was for Górnik, they were more confident, more motivated. But, first goal was for Legia, Cezary Kucharski made good long pass to Adam Majewski who find himself alone before Górnik goalkeeper. Minute later Wojciech Szala (Legia) just over the bar. But in minute 26 keeper Lech was surprised once more, this time by Yugoslavian Svitlica shot. Górnik didn't give up and three minute later Piotr Gierczak passed the ball to Niedzelan, who was standing before the empty net, so no problem for him. Before the brake Adam Kompała could level the score but just over the bar. In minute 56 Dariusz Dudek fouled Gierczak at the end line in the situation that seemed to be dangerous at all. It all happened in 16m area, so Kompała has no problem from penalty kick. Both teams wanted to win, so we saw many good actions. The final one was for Magiera, who received good pass from Majewski. The ball came between Górnik defenders and Magiera -one on one with Lech- finished it very cool. Górnik Zabrze could level one again, but 7 minute from the end Stanev made very good save after beautifull Nosla's header.

The match was played without any attendance. That's a  penalty decided by PZPN because of the fights on GKS' stadium two weeks ago. In this match appeared Krzysztof Gajtkowski (GKS) and Ryszard Czerwiec (Szczakowianka) who had a contusion lately. Katowice attacked from the first minutes. Szczakowianka didn't do anything but fouls - after 15' they had two yellow cards. In the 36' Adam Bała wasted a good chance, but two minutes later Bojarski passed to Gajtkowski, who scored from about 15 meters. In the 44' Sierka passed to Bojarski, who scored from 5 meters. Bojarski also assisted by scoring the first goal. In the 51' Wróbel shot much over the goal. In the 53' Sierka passed to Bojarski, who scored again. Ten minutes later Sierka executed a free kick (18 meters) and scored! There weren't more goals, but there were many attempts (Bojarski, Gajtkowski, Bała). For Szczakowianka the best shot was made by Kubisz, but the goalkeeper defended it. Szczakowianka was a really weak team in this match.
